The Sponsorship Assistant provides support to the Sponsorship Coordinator in the implementation of Sponsorship operations & related activities within the Area Programme(AP), ensuring the well-being of sponsored children in line with World Vision standards while providing high quality service to the sponsors. The position supports the Sponsorship Coordinator in assuring the accurate and timely processing of correspondence/translations and monitoring of child well-being outcomes for all Registered Children. He/She will also participate in community engagement and capacity building efforts of partners and community groups.
The position will also provide coordination and support to ensure Child Monitoring Standards are met & sponsor communications contribute to child participation & voice. He/She will be responsible for the coordination of design & development of communication material, quality assurance and administration. The Sponsorship Assistant also coordinates information management, data quality, data entry, monitoring, tracking, exception reports, follow-up and reports.
Support the Sponsorship Coordinator in the following
- Plan and roll out Community Engagement and Sponsorship Education processes through effective engagement of partners & community groups
- Assist in coordinating activities related development of child selection criteria, data entry, documentation, record management & registration of sponsored children
- Support integration of Child Well-Being (CWB)monitoring & follow ups within project activity plans & effective engagement of community volunteers/Sponsorship Field Assistants in meeting CWB quality standards
- Provide support in the design & development of high quality sponsorship communication material in a timely manner as per sponsorship standards
- Ensure quality assurance, efficient record management and timely and appropriate response to queries & Gift Notifications (GNs)
- Assist in facilitating sponsor visits & the preparation of management reports on the Sponsorship Programme of the Area Program(AP) as required
- Experience in World Vision or similar agency, preferably in a similar role will be an advantage.
- Excellent oral and written communication in English & Tamil/Sinhala as required
- Good IT skills & competent in the use of MS Office. Word, Excel and Power Point
- Good interpersonal skills & cross-cultural sensitivity with ability to work well in a team
- Ability to be creative & innovative in coordinating the sponsorship programmes within the AP
- Understanding of community-led development work
- Willing to travel & flexibility in working out of the core work hours when required
