This purpose of this role is to support the Advocacy and Campaign Integration Manager in successful delivery of the campaign in Fieled Offices participating in It Takes a World campaign. This will involve providing strategic leadership that influences the quality and impact of the campaign globally. This will entail the development and quality control of key evidence based advocacy intervention packages and campaign models in alignment with the Partnership Strategy and Campaign strategy and ensures integration of WV’s distinctive.

This position also involves championing the scale up of innovative solutions, campaign models and advocacy interventions and replication of best practices in coordination with Technical Sectors. Supporting the Integration Manager, this position oversees the development of campaign guidance (including global minimum standards, campaign models, and M&E tools) and learning opportunities (including capacity building strategies and curricula) for World Vision’s campaign work in development, middle income countries, fragile states, and HEA contexts.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Strengthen WV’s campaigns models in alignment with the Partnership Strategy and the Campaign strategy and champion their scale up, by engaging with the Technical Sectors and other WV teams and leading on the development of the global campaigns model.
  • Oversee the quality implementation of the campaign models at the ROs and FOs, working when required directly with the offices Senior Leadership and external partners and providing them with strategic direction.
  • Promote learning and capacity development within the campaign including training.
  • Promote accountability around the quality implementation of the campaign strategy.
Educational Background: 
Master’s degree in development studies, political, social sciences or related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least five (5) years of successful relevant professional experience including development and implementation of advocacy or campaign strategies and/or policy analysis and development.
  • The appointee will have experience coordinating and supporting advocacy engagement in low and middle-income countries, including in coalitions.
  • Previous experience in capacity development, preferably on advocacy and campaign.
  • Strong project & stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience of working in a complex, international and cross-cultural environment.
  • Ability / experience influencing people to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Proficiency in English and French and/or Spanish (preferably).

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • The incumbent is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, under the strategic direction of the Advocacy and Campaign Integration Manager.

Campaigning Experience:

  • Experience in developing and delivering campaign strategies.
  • Field experience, along with practical knowledge of DM&E.
  • Experience mobilising supporters and influencing key decision makers on development issues.
  • Campaigning in different contexts (middle income, fragile, development, HEA, etc.)

Capacity Development and learning Work:

  • The appointee will be well-articulated both verbally and in writing.
  • The appointee will have experience in capacity development, preferably for advocacy and campaigning.
  • The appointee will have the ability to translate strategies and campaign models into quality standards and develop the relevant guidance and learning documents.
  • The appointee will have ability to adapt resources and guidance to communicate effectively with FO staff.

Team Work:

  • Ability to maintain good relations and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of the activities of other members of the team to enable mutual support during times of high pressure especially in a remote working environment.

Other technical skills/experience:

  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, influencing and persuading skills.
  • A solid understanding of international and national policies relevant for children.
  • Ability to mentor staff in a cross-cultural context.
  • Management of organisational relations through networking and alliances.
  • Representational experience at national and international level.
  • Strong competencies to plan, prioritise, coordinate and ability to deliver in tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Experience of developing External and/or Public Engagement plans.
  • Experience in social communications for advcacy purposes.
  • Experience in preparing grant applications and reports for donors.

Work Environment/Travel:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
