Wabash Valley Habitat ReStore is seeking a full time ReStore Manager who is responsible for maximizing the profit of the ReStore to help support the overall mission of Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity. The ReStore Manager reports directly to the Finance Director. The ReStore Manager is a salaried, exempt position working a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Areas of Responsibility:
The ReStore Manager is responsible for the overall management of the ReStore’s day-to-day operations, playing an active role in planning for the ReStore’s future.
Develop, implement, advance, and embody a strategic plan for the ReStore team which includes:
- Benchmarked sales goals set to challenge and inspire the entire ReStore team
- A thoughtful and proactive annual budget that encourages all to be the very best stewards of the resources entrusted to us
- A strategic staffing plan including process for the full leveraging of volunteer leadership to partner with paid staff positions ensuring the adequate coverage needed for operations
- Donor procurement strategies ensuring appropriate inventory, retention, and cultivation of current and future donors
- A clear communications plan that effectively transfers information from the ReStore team to the rest of the affiliate and from the affiliate to the ReStore team, hence encouraging team building across departmental lines
- Customer service & Operations policies that create a positive team-oriented environment where staff, volunteers, and customers are respected and valued
- Directly supervises the ReStore staff team
- Interest in nonprofit management and community development
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Non-Profit Management preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Superior communication (verbal, listening, and written), organizational, time management
- Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment that must evolve to meet the needs of the mission
- Strategic vision with ability to manage tactically
- Strong analytical skills, common sense, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, to set and balance priorities, and to take initiative
- Customer service focused
- Computer/Software skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- ReStore is a physically demanding environment, our candidate must be in good general health and able to bend, stoop, reach, climb a ladder and frequently lift 60 pounds or more
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Five years minimum experience in a retail management/operations environment
