FHI 360 seeks a Media Specialist/Advisor for a USAID civil society-strengthening program in Honduras. The purpose of this activity is to enhance the capacity of civil society to influence government decision‐making.
Areas of Responsibility:
Assists the Activity’s efforts to promote a strategic communications approach to catalyze public demand for accountability, and incorporate this approach as crosscutting to all results of the Activity.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree or its International Equivalent - Knowledge/Information Services, Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences International Development, Human Development or Related Field.
Skills/Experience:
- Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in strategic communications, media advocacy and engagement on rule of law, human rights, transparency and accountability issues, or related fields.
- Must have two (2) or more year’s technical experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in media work in Honduras is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent Spanish.
- Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
