The Recovery Coordinator provides administrative and operations support to the Hurricane Michael Response Team. Duties include setting up and maintaining an administrative system, and coordinating communications within the team. Additionally this incumbent will assist with distribution, partnership coordination and program reporting and monitoring may also be needed. The Recovery Coordinator works closely with the team on the ground as well as HQ focal points.
As a frontline representative of Save the Children, the position holder is required to ensure the safety and protection of children and families that the incumbent comes in contact with and to represent the agency values of Accountability, Ambition, Collaboration, Creativity and Integrity.
Coordinate Program Implementation (50%)
- Assist with building and maintaining relationships with schools, partners and state contacts.
- Coordinate training and program logistics including procuring necessary materials and supplies
- Manage team communications and meetings as needed
- Conduct site visits and program fidelity checks as needed
Support Program Monitoring, Evaluation and Knowledge Management (20%)
- Collect and track beneficiary surveys and feedback
- Input beneficiary data into beneficiary tracking system.
- Help coordinate periodic reporting including regularly updating Situation Reports, and managing response documentation on the Response Hub
Support Field Operations and Office Administration (30%)
- Provide operational and administrative support to the program as required to ensure the smooth running of the program, to include such things as travel and hotel arrangements, ordering of office supplies and equipment, and arranging events as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Team Leader including meeting and scheduling support, preparing materials, directing questions to the correct people and taking meeting notes.
- Help track and report program expenses
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in area of expertise with preference given to those with early education, social work, child protection experience.
- Professional level of specialized knowledge to manage complex tasks, programs or projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience implementing disaster recovery programs
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in child protection, psychology, early childhood education or related field in a relevant subject
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and verbal
