We are seeking a dynamic, passoinate team player to help elevate the YMCA's philanthropic need and provide leadership to our annual support campaign, special events, donor cultivation and endowment development.  This position will also be a catalysis in providing support to any future capital development and fundraising efforts, as well as grant writing opportunities that will help the Summerville Family YMCA continue to be a cause driven organization.

The position is full-time exept reporting directly to the CEO, while working closely with other senior leadership team (SLT) members, staff, board members and volunteers.  You must be an excellent communicator, develop strong relationships with current donors, cultivate and pursue new relationships.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Continues to strengthen an annual campaign strategy for the Y in collaboration with executive and volunteer leadership.
  • Assists in planning and implementation of special events, projects and committees when needed.
  • Recruits volunteer leadership for overall annual campaign and develops an effective, comprehensive annual campaign program. Works closely with executive leadership.
  • Collaborates with branch leadership to develop communication and campaign strategies to successfully market the annual campaign. Supports plans for identifying, cultivating and soliciting branch annual fund prospects.
  • Works with branch executive directors to identify, recruit, and train branch volunteers in gift solicitation.
  • Grant writing experience.
  • Oversees the data management of annual gifts and conducts regular analysis and reporting of annual campaign progress.
  • Establishes systems for timely and appropriate acknowledgements of annual campaign gifts.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from donors, volunteers, senior leaders and the general public.
  • Community relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
  • Staffs and manages special events, projects and committees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field is necessary, CRFE Certification is a plus.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous experience working with YMCAs or in the non-profit field.
  • Proven success in working with annual fundraising campaigns, capital campaigns, endowments and grant writing.
  • Excellent communication skills, highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Highly motivated with strong human relationship and leadership skills.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $42,000.00
