In this role, you will be responsible for estate administration process for bequests from wills, trusts, split-interest agreements, perpetual trusts and other testamentary instruments. Responsible for managing and processing distributions from various estate sources.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Monitors, reviews and processes legal documentation, trust statements and related materials for bequest distribution requirements and restrictions.
- Maintains and ensures data and donor information is accurate and up-to-date in both electronic database and physical hard file.
- Communicates and coordinates bequest activities with estate/trust representatives and attorneys. Collaborates with all parties to resolve concerns or issues. Processes receipts for liquidation of estate assets.
- Maintains accurate records for split-interest trusts and perpetual trusts and provides information for correct financial recording of assets and audit review.
Educational Background:
Vocational/Trade Degree in Paralegal or banking/accounting
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum two years of experience in the related field
- Experience with estate planning legal documentation and financial instruments
- Experience with basic accounting principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision
