Provides technical support to NextGen users across the agency. Works to identify solutions to technical problems and optimize NextGen functionality. Collaborates with Database Administrator to maintain NextGen database and related applications. Provides analytical support to Finance and Operations based on current business needs and projects. Requires regular reliable, time-efficient transportation within the bi-state region.  This position also requires sitting at a desk for extended periods and requires standing and walking for periods of time in excess of one hour.  Requires working with computers, IT equipment, kneeling, manual/visual dexterity and working in cramped spaces, if needed. Weekend hours may be required.

Areas of Responsibility: 

PRIMARY DUTIES PERFORMED

  •  Create and maintain NextGen user accounts and Permissions
  • Provide technical support for NextGen Users
  • Setup & maintenance of NextGen Templates
  • Setup & maintenance of NextGen Diagnosis, Procedures, and RX Codes
  • Installation and testing of NextGen updates
  • Setup, testing, and maintenance of NextGen’s financial and insurance configuration
  • Maintenance of all NextGen interfaces: Labs, scanners, printers, and signature pads
  • Serve as backup for Database Administrator
  • Manage strategic special projects as needed
  • Perform business critical reporting for internal and external customers
  • Maintain consent forms and other required documents in EHR per the direction of the Director of Quality and Training

RISK MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

  •  Adheres to PPSLRSWMO's and department policies that ensure the provision of the highest quality and most professional services to all PPSLRSWMO clients
  • Protects PPSLRSWMO's assets from liability
  • Assures for the physical safety of PPSLRSWMO clients, staff, and volunteers.
  • Protects confidentiality of all PPSLRSWMO clients, donors, Board and all areas of operations.
Educational Background: 
High School
Skills/Experience: 
  • May require certification in specific applications. 
  • Requires at least 3-5 years of experience in the information technology field or in a related area.
  • Current driver’s license, current insurance, own/have reliable transportation.
  • Must be familiar with a variety of the information technology field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must obtain NextGen certification.
