The ReStore manager is responsible for generating revenue, meeting budgets and maintaining profitability in support of local Habitat operations, through the acquisition, management, and marketing of ReStore products. This position will create a positive visibility and reputation in the local community while demonstrating the mission and scope of Habitat for Humanity for Southwest Utah.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Operational and Financial: including driving donations, sales, and profits to further the mission, evaluating profits and losses, overseeing budgeting and financials for the ReStore, and maintaining licenses, policies, and procedures.
- Staff Management: including the hiring, training, recognition, and coaching of employees, ensuring staff is providing outstanding service to customers, donors, volunteers and others.
- Public Relations, Marketing, and Advertising: developing and implementing Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising plans for the ReStore.
- Reporting and Communications: providing sales, expenses, and outreach activities reports; and keeping ED informed of operational, financial and human resource matters.
Skills/Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of responsible leadership, including directing successful teams and meeting required objectives
- Solid application of interpersonal and communications skills
- The ability to think innovatively and adapt to rapidly changing situations, while anticipating, addressing, and solving problems
- The ability and willingness to call on existing and potential donors to increase merchandise in the store
- A demonstrated ability in training, managing, leading and developing Associates in a consistent, positive and safety conscious manner
- Must demonstrate high standards of integrity and accountability
- Must project a professional image in speech and demeanor in interactions with others
- Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations and email
- Must be able to safely lift and position up to 50 pounds, as well as occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching, often in awkward positions. Must be able to spend a large part of work hours both standing and walking
