The Senior Business Systems Analyst provides a thorough examination of customer need with respect to business process and data identifying functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions throughout the entire system development life cycle. Create a strong partnership with business and technical teams to prototype and deliver application solutions with respect to value, quality and end-user experience. Develop subject matter expertise in foundation data, application and platform functionality and features. Provides customers a conduit to engage in technology discussions about their applications. This position reports to the Deputy Director, Global Analytics and Reporting Services.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Apply deep functional domain expertise and a strong methodology to help guide solution options analysis, working closely with both business and technical teams, with consideration of both technical and non-technical implications and trade-offs
  • Develop decision-making criteria and facilitation of decision process, including presentation and discussions with senior leadership 
  • Own story epics within technical delivery, user story generation, confirmation of acceptance criteria and required sign-off’s 
  • Data Analysis, including research, schema design, source to target mapping and quality/consistency verification, application/platform/integration impact assessments based on data, technology and/or business logic changes
  • Organize or lead prototype development, participate in demos & user acceptance reviews, work with technical leads on the creation of design documents and artifacts
  • Work closely with QA to ensure system is built and configured to requirements and design specification, coordinate the development of the test plan, test cases and facilitation of UAT
  • May drive the project management of smaller projects, lead responsibility for analysis work streams within projects of significant size or impact
  • Key partner in communications for project owners and project managers, assisting with development of content and delivery of project communications and stakeholder management.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills, including the ability to communicate to multiple levels of the organization and with non-technical partners to derive technical requirements and priorities
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, including the ability to arbitrate and objectively evaluate competing requests across the enterprise
  • Take a strategic viewpoint and apply critical thinking skills
  • Familiarity with custom development, packaged products implementation, systems integration and cloud-hosted solutions 
  • Business requirement elicitation techniques, options prioritization and analysis, translation to technical functional and non-functional requirements, solution design, test planning, change management, vendor management 
  • Experience developing conceptual data models and working collaboratively with architects to translate these to analytical models
  • Subject-matter expertise in integrating, configuring technologies from multiple vendors
  • Ability to create clear strategies, policies, procedures and system documentation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to adjust work-style and communication to match team or audience, especially when working with non-technical resources.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time
  • Ability to facilitate small teams, guiding work delivery and quality
  • Experience working on a Salesforce platform. Configuration experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with understanding and querying relational databases.
  • Demonstrated delivery with an agile development methodology.
