Responsible for supporting the team’s Strategy and Innovation portfolio, including: analyzing the trends driving philanthropy today and exploring opportunities that have been identified as emerging areas of focus for the team to advance our goals.
Initially, this work will focus on driving growth in the emerging “marketplace” of aggregated philanthropic capital funds targeted at solving some of the greatest social challenges in our world. If successful, an expanded marketplace will substantially increase the flow of philanthropic capital by providing philanthropists opportunities to join collaborative, high impact communities and provide accessible on-ramps to giving with impact at scale, locally and globally. Our vision is of a thriving and diverse philanthropic market of collaborative giving vehicles where donors can easily find opportunities that meet their needs – across issue areas, geographies, and levels of personal engagement – to incorporate into their overall strategic philanthropy portfolio. This role will manage ongoing engagement with a community of stakeholders and related workstreams that have and will be identified, as well as track trends in the broader ecosystem to help inform this work.
Additional areas of exploration within this portfolio over time could include: opportunities for reaching specific segments of philanthropists and/or new products or channels to better serve philanthropists in advancing their giving.
