JOB OVERVIEW:

The Membership and Partnerships Coordinator is a full-time position that reports to the Senior Director of Development and is part of Cascade Bicycle Club’s membership & development team. This position primarily supports the Partnership Manager to ensure exceptional cultivation, solicitation, activation, and fulfillment of all sponsorship relationships for Cascade Bicycle Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Washington Bikes, a (501)(c)(4) nonprofit affiliated with Cascade.  This is an outward facing position which requires a high level of professionalism and comfort communicating both verbally and digitally in a wide range of situations with diverse audiences. This role has opportunities to work with and support all Cascade staff, events, and programs.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for company group benefits.

 

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The membership & development team fosters vital relationships with corporate partners, individuals, and foundations allowing Cascade to run our educational programs and fulfill our mission of Improving Lives Through Bicycling with a vision of Bicycling for All. The five-person team has measurable individual goals and works collaboratively to ensure Cascade meets overall revenue goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partnerships (50%)

  • Ensuring deliverables of partnerships including logo placement, social media content creation, planning event activations, and generally making the Cascade partner experience as enjoyable as possible. 
  • Compiling decks, proposals, and year end recaps.
  • Attending events and assisting in partner activations. 
  • Securing and tracking all in-kind donations.
  • Managing and tracking all partnerships under $2,000.
  • Pursuing premium member and staff benefits/pro-deals. 
  • Tracking deliverables, managing data entry, and capturing information about relationships in Salesforce.
  • Creating and distributing partner communications including newsletters and surveys. 
  • Prospecting new partnerships with a focus on in-kind partnerships or partnerships valued at under $5,000/year.

Membership (50%)

  • Constituent data and relationship tracking within CRM database.
  • Gift entry, pledge tracking, workplace giving and matching gifts processing.
  • Coordinate and record gift acknowledgments.
  • Database maintenance.
  • Data cleaning and database maintenance as needed.
  • Customer service and vendor management as needed.
  • Membership giveaway fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with vendors to keep membership materials in-stock.
  • Administrative support for fundraising events (Bike Everywhere Breakfast, Champions Brunch, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects involving diverse stakeholders
  • Comfort and familiarity with social media 
  • Attention to detail and high standards for efficiency 
  • 1+ years experience working in an high volume communications/customer service role
  • Commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude including a willingness to understand the needs of Cascade’s wide range of events, programs, and departments 
  • Proficiency with technology, including: MS Office Suite, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with CRM (content relationship management) systems like Salesforce is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sponsorship best practices and bicycling culture is a plus


HOURLY WAGE
$20.68.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for company benefits, anticipated to work  40 hours/week.
Due to the large-scale nature of events and their importance to the fiscal well being of Cascade and WA Bikes, staff members are required to work several events a year, a mix of mandatory all-hands events and choice events. This position may also require some evening and weekend work.

Employment at Cascade is of an at-will nature. Approximately 90% of this role is responsible to Cascade Bicycle Club and 10% is responsible to Washington Bikes. Staffing and support for Washington Bikes is governed by an Administrative Services Agreement between the c3 and c4.
