This is an interim backfill role to cover for someone who will be out on parental leave.  The duration of the assignment is targeted for 18 months starting in April 2019. However, the start and end dates may change.

The Financial Data and Reporting team is looking for a senior level Business Analyst with strong facilitation skills to join their team. To be effective in this role, the Analyst will need to take initiative and respond to feedback, as well as possess the flexibility to adjust work products to meet the needs of the organization.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Facilitate stakeholder sessions to elicit, analyze, and document needs in the forms of problem definition, needs analysis, business cases, and/or requirements; inclusive of identifying current state, desired future state, and gaps
  • Leverage best practices and design thinking to participate in the design and development of data, reporting, process, and technical solutions that support stakeholders’ goals and objectives; inclusive of organizing and leading prototype reviews, demos, and user acceptance reviews.
  • Coordinate with project and program management to identify, plan, analyze and design methodology, scope, schedule, milestones, deliverables, and resources. 
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to support evolution and improvement of shared processes and approaches.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s or other advanced degree with 10+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with ability to take a big picture and long-term perspective on how solutions and trade-offs play into the overall strategy for data and reporting.
  • Strong facilitation skills, as this position must support and communicate a trade-off approach to requirements and gain agreement/consensus across teams on solutions and prioritization
  • Ability to elicit and translate requests from customers into solid business requirements that solve for the business problem.
  • Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams in a dynamic organization requiring flexibility, patience, creativity, and the ability to adjust work style to match audience for unique business solutions and changing and/or conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to effectively synthesize and present information as well as to adapt tone and style for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to self-organize and manage time effectively
