Responsible for collaborating with K-12 Education colleagues and the broader field to build alignment around a vision for employing and driving market dynamic education solutions to enable more effective development, distribution and product/market fit across various Solutions team program strategies. Manage/execute a portfolio to advance this agenda.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Work with the Deputy Director to deeply engage the education private sector relevant to the ecosystems for the priority solutions identified by the team.
- Evaluate and support the development of business models for organizations and companies that design and deliver solutions that serve the needs of the field in a scalable and sustainable manner.
- Conduct research and market analysis to understand where and why supply and demand are misaligned for the priority solutions identified by the team. Develop and execute strategies that engage key stakeholders to address these disconnections.
- Support the team to improve the rigor with which we apply market dynamics to solve related problems across the K-12 program.
- Take a user-centered design approach to help understand incentives for and needs of end users, school/district decision makers, practitioners, developers, distributors, funders and policy makers in ways that improve the impact of the priority solutions.
- Help catalyze external private capital through the use of various Program-Related Investment (PRI) strategies that contribute to the scaling of innovation and the growth and the sustainability of proven solutions.
- Contribute to the design of new strategies, collaborations and implementation plans to ensure long-term sustainability and impact.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree preferred. At least 8 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: development and distribution of K-12 education products or services; venture capital or private equity investing; venture philanthropy or impact investing; management consulting; education entrepreneurship; education program management.
