Director of Survivor Advocacy Programs

The Director level position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for overall operations of CSE advocacy and employment services provided to adult and adolescent survivors of prostitution. Responsibilities include team management, development, program delivery, case management, quality control of programs, meeting contractual obligations, and evaluation. The Director of CSE Advocacy/Employment will manage a growing program and represent OPS in the community.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Program Operations and Management

·         Responsible for overall planning, organizing, and execution of programs and projects for OPS CSE Advocacy and Employment Services

·         Directs all operations with CSE Advocacy & Employment Programs and in collaboration with the executive director, assists in hiring, training, and supervision of program staff

·         Responsible for program/ project monitoring, grant monitoring, project budgets, and reports to program funders. Completes reports and data collection as required

·         Works with CSE Advocacy team to meet emergency and long term exiting needs of adult and adolescent survivors

·         Supervises case management and assigns cases to appropriate staff to meet goals

·         Manages a caseload of a minimum of 10 clients

·         Provide leadership, management, and vision to CSE Advocacy/Employment staff, trainees, and volunteers

·         The Director will work with the Executive Director to enhanced employment/training programs for adult survivors of CSE

Leadership

·         Represents OPS mission and goals to the community

·         Participates in collaborations and partnerships to provide the most appropriate and culturally relevant resources and referrals for clients.

·         Participates in collaborative meetings to communicate information and provide consultations to strengthen partnerships and services for clients.

·         Participates in training and learning opportunities to improve skills and understanding of cultural competency, anti-racism, and anti-oppression biases in CSE work.

·         Participates in Agency and CSE Advocacy/Employment strategic planning.

·         Participates in CSE Advocacy Services programming meetings to develop best practices including program design and implementation.

·         Attends OPS board, staff, and other meetings as requested

·         Meets with the Executive Director and provide reports as requested

·         Maintains the integrity of the organization, follows the mission of OPS, and follows all policies and guidelines

·         Performs other duties that may be assigned for the successful implementation of client services and CSE Advocacy.

Educational Background: 
Masters Degree or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 

·         Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field

·         2 years’ staff supervision experience

·         2 years’ case management experience

·         Demonstrated leadership, team building, and program development skills

·         Demonstrated success in implementing and/or working in employment programs

·         Ability to manage projects, project budgets, and complete monthly reports

·         Strong engagement and relationship-building skills

·         Strong written and verbal communication

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Knowledge of the issue of CSE and ability to relate in supportive/empathetic manner to    prostituted persons

·         Knowledge of the impact of CSE on marginal populations and communities of color

·         Experience and ability to work with diverse and marginalized communities

·         Understanding of and ability to maintain professional boundaries with staff and clients

·         Reliable attendance, accountability for time, and workload management

·         Ability to implement new programs and projects

Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary Range  $50,000 - 55,000  Depending on Experience
