LLS is seeking a team member who can demonstrate creativity, innovation, passion, teamwork and commitment to LLS's mission. This is an ideal position for a candidate interested in pursuing a career in non-profit, fundraising/development, event coordination and/or public relations while making a difference in the lives of people living with and affected by blood cancers.We are looking for an organized, reliable and creative self-starter who can manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with a diverse audience. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, maintain attention to detail, and be able to work independently as well as a part of a dynamic team.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Administers select on-going programs and/or special projects (e.g. new Friends and Family team recruitment, new prospect identification and cultivation, benefit fulfillment, etc.)
  • Seeks innovative ways for recruitment; attend support group meetings, host tabling events, Guerilla marketing (Starbucks, grocery store, local universities and college campus community boards), etc.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support for fundraising campaigns.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS's mission and programs to promote the Society's fundraising, research, and patient initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
High School, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • 0 -1 year of fundraising, communications, sales, marketing, event planning experience

Position Requirements: 

  • Based in Inland Empire area
  • Collaborate with Mission Team ensuring success of patient access, education, public policy and advocacy and research
  • Excellent MS Office Suite and database management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital, social media & emerging online channels
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Professional and solid judgment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
  • Work environment is representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
  • May be required to move Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
  • May be required to travel within the Chapter's designated area.
  • Required to work evenings or weekends.
