The Senior Grants Management Analyst will support the Community Benefits Program in Civic Engagement by managing the day to day relationships with Safe, Clean Water grantees, analyze and assess the accuracy of invoices with the progress of projects, ensure compliance with agreements and budgets, partner with internal technical staff to ensure projects are completed in alignment with district objectives, analyze and problem solve issues pertaining to contracts with grantees, and coordinate communication of grant status to internal staff (Chief and Board level included) and the public through utilizing tools available through Communications Unit (blogs, social media, eNews, Nextdoor, etc.). Additionally, this position will be responsible for supporting the outreach to the community to ensure diversity of applicant pool and awareness of district resources and opportunities in the Community Benefits Program. This position will also support the assessment of the impacts of resources from the program in the community. The objective is to understand how impactful grant funding has been in the community and identify where the gaps and needs continue to be in the county.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide daily oversight of current grantees - analyzing and assessing invoices, communicating status of projects, ensuring technical staff are aware of projects milestones/outcomes, drafting board agenda memos for amendments, tracking insurance, agreement, and other key dates pertaining to grant projects, and other daily administrative tasks.
- Community outreach - maintaining a database of county-wide organizations and entities that are grant/partnership eligible, conducting direct outreach by requesting meetings, presentations, phone calls, etc. to inform community about resources/opportunities, and continue building and developing networks in the community that can lead to potential partnership or grant projects.
- Supporting the development of an assessment strategies to measure impacts of grant funding and identify gaps in the community where grant dollars are not being equitably allocated.
Training:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, political science, business administration or a related field (Social Sciences, Ethnic Studies, Public Policy, Communications, Environmental Science, or Engineering).
Directly related experience may be substituted for the college requirement on the basis of one and one-half years of experience for one year of education to a maximum of four years.
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience performing administrative, operational, management, or financial analysis of complex issues related to the field of assignment.
$8,723.87 - $11,169.60 Monthly
