The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Health Program Associate Temporary Part-Time in Cameron County.

The Health Program Associate Temporary Part-Time shall use his/her expertise in community outreach and program implementation to advance AHA's Check. Change. Control. program in Cameron County. This position will be responsible for recruiting organizations to participate in the program and assist them in enrolling participants into the program to meet program goals and guidelines. The Health Program Associate Temporary Part-Time will also work closely with the Community Impact Director for the region. This is a part- time temporary position expected to last until approximately the end of August 2018 working 20 hours a week.

Essential duties:

  • Meet with program partners targeted for involvement in the program along with Community Impact staff to recruit at least 500 participants in the programs.
  • Assist with incentive program creation for the program for participants, mentors, and organizations enrolled.
  • Provide technical support to committed organizations in the program.
  • Train and help establish accounts for new program partners.
  • Create aggregate CCC reports to participating organizations at completion of program.
  • Assist Community Impact staff in other ways identified as needed.
  • Local travel within the region 80% of the time driving between locations.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year office experience.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Will be tested
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs from ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
