California YMCA Youth & Government is seeking a Fund Development Coordinator. This full-time position will support statewide development and fundraising efforts and will report to the Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development.
Areas of Responsibility:
Responsibilities for the Fund Development Coordinator position will include, but are not limited to the following:
Administrative Objectives
- Support the execution of California YMCA Youth & Government’s developments strategy.
- Manage the Customer Relations Management (CRM)/ fundraising software and complete data entry and processing for organization’s annual campaign.
- Process and track all donations daily,including pledges,matching gifts,special appeals,special event registrations and donations, as well as both restricted and in-kind gifts.
- Create timely and thoughtful acknowledgement letters for all donations.
- Update and maintain fundraising materials.
- Oversee updating donor records with current address,title,and bio information from a variety of sources, lists and directories.
- Generate fundraising reports for CEO,Development Department,Board of Directors,and Development Committee.
- Prepare donor list for donor recognition purposes.
Prospect Research
- Explore new funding opportunities.
- Conduct research on prospective donors.
- Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising.
Grants
- Oversee and maintain grant management system, ensuring that all deadlines and requirements are met.
- Coordinate grant applications and reports,write and edit drafts,prepare budgets,and other materials as necessary.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’sDegree.
Skills/Experience:
- Highly organized,thorough and detail-oriented.
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication and writing skills.
- Experience in non-profit grant writing and research desire
- Ability to work in a fast-paced,team environment and a willingness to travel
