Position Summary:
The Project Manager for Compelling Preaching is responsible for providing essential support for our Compelling Preaching program, including event planning, and creating social media-specific content. This support includes administrative tracking of participants, communications, and give-back hours for the grant period, and assistance in reporting to the Lilly Foundation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Event Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Executive Minister for Programs and Initiatives (EMPI) for support in managing, planning and executing the Compelling Preaching Programs comprehensive events and activities.
- Manage and oversee event logistics, such as venue selection, scheduling, vendor management, budget tracking, and ensuring faith-based and justice aligned values are incorporated into each event.
- Manage the event planning and logistics of the Conference’s main events, including Annual Meeting, Super Saturday, and the Justice Summit.
- Program Participant Support:
- Facilitate the creation of a supportive and engaging learning environment for program participants during events.
- Actively engage with program participants; i.e providing guidance and tracking their progress while collecting valuable feedback to enhance the program's effectiveness.
- Social Media-Specific Content Creation:
- Develop and create compelling and faith-based content for our social media platforms, focusing on promoting the Compelling Preaching program and its events, including the Annual Meeting, Super Saturday, and the Justice Summit.
- Transform the sermons and content produced from the Compelling Preaching program for use on social media, ensuring it aligns with our faith-based values and engages our community effectively.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Media and Communications.
- Community Engagement:
- Foster a sense of community and belonging among program participants, volunteers, and supporters during events and on social media.
- Actively engage with program participants to share their stories, testimonials, and experiences on social media.
- Reporting:
- Support the assessment and analysis of the program's performance during events and on social media platforms, helping to measure their impact.
- Assist in preparing detailed reports, including post-event assessments and recommendations for improvement.
Conference-Sponsored Events
- The Project Manager- Compelling Preaching will be required to participate in Conference- Sponsored events throughout the year
Qualifications:
· Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Prior experience in program support, with a strong background in event planning, and social media-specific content creation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- An eagerness to work collaboratively and contribute to the success of events and programs.
- Experience within a non-profit or faith-based organization is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable as needed to accomplish goals.
