The Oregon Health Authority, Public Health Division, Adolescent, Genetics and Reproductive Health in Portland, OR is recruiting for a public health professional experienced in health promotion, social marketing and outreach to fill the position of Communications and Health Promotion Strategist for the Reproductive Health Program. The Oregon Reproductive Health Program works with over 165 clinics throughout the state to offer free or low-cost reproductive health services and birth control for women, men, and teens who need them. This program seeks to reduce unintended pregnancy in Oregon by providing access to the information, services and resources necessary to ensure that all pregnancies are healthy, well-timed and intended.
What will you do?
As the Communications and Health Promotion Strategist, you will provide strategic direction for the Reproductive Health Program in the areas of health promotion, social marketing and outreach; and coordinate the program's branding initiatives. You will serve as a key advisor and coordinator for systems level partnerships and strategic communications. In addition, you will provide leadership for advancement of health and racial equity and cultural responsiveness of the Reproductive Health Program.

REQUESTED SKILLS
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with health education and promotion practices, social marketing and strategic communications
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal
- Experience facilitating meetings, developing and giving presentations using a variety of media
- Experience leading strategic planning including developing program and communication
- Experience working with health and governmental systems and skilled in navigation and negotiating from within
- Extensive experience establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners
- Experience in promoting a culturally responsive and inclusive work environment
- Knowledge and experience working with diverse communities such as immigrant, refugee, tribal and Latino communities within Oregon that include knowledge of traditions, values, customs of the communities being served and understanding of the impact of systemic oppression.
SALARY: $26.71 - $39.09 Hourly
