Provide technical support to the project team and partners in the application of child survival project models (health, nutrition and WASH) to improve the child's well-being. Train, mentor and lead a group of child survival officers to implement child survival projects in project communes.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Work in close collaboration with the staff of the DDS (Departmental Health Department) of the municipality and develop partnerships with local authorities and heads of health centers and hospitals for the identification and monitoring of children with problems nutritional. (20%)
- Train the staff members working in the areas of intervention of the project in Health, Nutrition, WASH on the approaches in the respect of the international standards (and the fundamental principles.) And develop new tools. (20%)
- Accompany, guide and coordinate the Child Survival Officers for the realization of the planned activities. in the preparation and consolidation of the work plan (20%)
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of community services in accordance with the MSPP guidelines formulated in the essential service package manual. Conduct regular field visits to all project areas. (10%)
- Prepare and submit a monthly report with emphasis on progress and constraints to project implementation. Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports (data, success stories, etc.) produced according to the Child Survival activities selected for the municipalities for which it is responsible. (10%)
- Work with community drinking water networks in project intervention areas to implement the dashboard to monitor the quality of services provided (10%)
- Ensure that project assets: vehicle, resources, are effectively managed according to standards (10%)
- Inform the project manager of any difficulties encountered and communicate with the region of the required support (10%)
Educational Background:
University degree in Nursing Science from a school recognized by the MSPP and licensee and training in Public Health
Skills/Experience:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND SKILLS
- Speak and write perfectly French and Creole good English skills desirable, Spanish an asset
- Planning capacity and management of community health programs.
- Be willing to make multiple trips to project areas
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The additional work experience required minimum to qualify for this position.
- Have 3 years experience in a public health program
- Have worked in a community health program
- Experience in Program Management / Projects
- Work experience in NGOs
Licenses, registrations or certifications required to occupy this position:
- Nursing diploma awarded by a school recognized by the MSPP and graduated from the MSPP and diploma in community health
- Diploma in Public Health is desirable
