Community Support Services Supervisor: Mental Health Case Management for Adults

This position and fee for service program is new at Prologue. This position will work to initiate the program including establishing the operational framework following state guidelines, hiring staff and screening referrals. The program will provide mental health case management to adults in Baltimore County. The person in this position will develop and build relationships with service providers (public and private) in Baltimore County, and surrounding counties and will develop a network and gain direct access to information and resources necessary to provide comprehensive services to individuals. The Community Support Services Supervisor provides oversight of case management services at a ratio of one supervisor to every eight community support specialists or associates in the Mental Health Case Management Program. Supervisor provides consultation and training on mental illness to staff. Supervisor will provide direct client services such as screening referrals, assigning cases, initial assessment and crisis management and may carry a limited caseload.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide oversight of program services and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide clinical consultation and supervision to Community Support Specialists and Associates.
  • Assure conformance with all applicable contractual requirements
  • Assure accurate and timely reporting of required information and statistics
  • Ensure fiscal compliance with agency equipment, vehicles, and funds
  • Oversee daily operations of team
  • Screen referrals and assign cases
  • Establish relationships with service and resource providers such as hospitals, DSS, Baltimore County Detention Center.  
  • Report all incidents to Quality Improvement Director within 24 hours
  • Ensure individual records are complete and in compliance with all required standards
  • Perform 180 day and annual employee evaluations
  • Engage in crisis management
Educational Background: 
A mental health professional who is licensed and legally authorized to practice under the Health Occupations Article, Annotated Code of Maryland and who is licensed under Maryland Practice Boards in the profession of either Social Work, Professional Couns
Skills/Experience: 

Has at least one year experience in mental health working as a supervisor. Has clinical expertise in mental illness and ability to provide consultation and training to others. The ability to lead and work as part of a team is necessary. A good driving record is also essential. Ability to respect individual choice and person centered services is required. Also, this position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation/Benefits:
