Champion a comprehensive, strategic and integrated approach to secure, retain and grow significant revenue through national & global corporate partnerships. Generate ROI for corporate partners helping to achieve marketing and corporate social responsibility goals. Grow and diversify corporate revenue streams, both core and new.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Champion the development of a comprehensive, strategic and integrated corporate alliances vision and strategy.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Development and the Vice President of Brand & Marketing to strategize and implement revenue generating initiatives that complement and highlight the Make-A-Wish brand strategy.
- As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, collaborate with business leaders to achieve aggressive revenue growth goals, including the development of corporate alliances operational plans and budgets to ensure they align with short and long-term strategies of Make-A-Wish.
- Evolve corporate infrastructure, policies and processes to support the identification, cultivation, solicitation, reporting and engagement of established and new corporate partners.
- Leverage the Make-A-Wish brand and nationwide network of chapters & volunteers to develop pipeline of corporate prospects.
- Establish and implement effective strategies to increase revenue and partnerships with Fortune 500 companies.
- Engage in proactive communication with chapter staff and leadership on department strategy, turn-key content to execute partnerships locally, trends in corporate alliances, etc.
- Lead a high-functioning director level staff and team to drive strategic corporate alliances while providing meaningful growth and development opportunities.
- Oversee and assist as needed in the cultivation and solicitation of corporate donors/prospects. Provide support to the Chief Executive Officer, SLT and members of the Board of Directors involved in the development and stewardship of corporate partnerships.
- Work cross-functionally to develop and implement successful marketing and communications strategy tailored to corporate partners to generate ROI.
- Manage, motivate and grow/develop corporate alliances staff. Assist with the development of rigorous objectives that drive toward higher performance.
- Actively engage with team in the development of employee engagement strategies and tactics informed by team feedback, employee engagement surveys and HR feedback.
- Establish, communicate, and maintain departmental and organization-wide policies and procedures related to corporate fundraising programs.
- Develop annual revenue and expense budget. Monitor corporate revenue and control expenses to ensure adherence to budget.
- Work with Development Operations and IT to ensure that CRM is utilized to support corporate alliances to capture and track all established account/prospect activities.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree required.

- 10+ years corporate marketing or non-profit corporate development fundraising and strategic management experience required.
- Experience developing and closing large sponsorships resulting in six and seven figure gifts.
- Superior relationship development and conflict resolution skills.
- Outstanding influencing skills required to generate buy-in and create win/win situations
- Financial management experience in building and managing annual budgets.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
- Effectively multi-task, establishes priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment. Highly efficient in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure.
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills. Demonstrate competency when handling diversified assignments.
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills. Strong presentation delivery, ability to convey ideas, and provide effective instruction.
- 35% travel required.
