Senior Manager, Chapter Advancement

Provides high level proactive, capacity building support and service to chapters to help position them for enhanced strategic growth. As a member of the Chapter Advancement team, this position serves as a support to the Director, Chapter Relationship Leaders by conducting assessments and identifying trends and strategies. Collaborates internally with Chapter Advancement team and other National departments to ensure a holistic and unified approach to chapter initiatives, training, resources and support. This position also assists in identifying benchmark chapters and collecting their best practices and strategies. The Senior Manager ensures the growth of the Wishes in Flight campaign and collaborates with Chapter Advancement Operations on miles distribution.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Collaborate heavily with Chapter Advancement Directors and Operations and other National departments to help facilitate National strategies, programs and resources.
  • In partnership with Chapter Advancement Operations and Compliance, the Senior Manager will develop the chapter snapshots and dashboards by capturing and maintaining the integrity of the data.
  • The Senior Manager will be used as a resource on fundraising/special projects by the Chapter Advancement Directors.
  • Work with the VP of Chapter Advancement to prioritize chapters needing consulting assistance on various initiatives.
  • In conjunction with Directors, conduct development audits to analyze chapters' performance, strategies and operations, gather best practices and establish specific objectives to address improvement and capacity building requirements at individual chapters.
  • Develop a library of best practices and standard guidance for chapters on critical initiatives and strategies, based on standards of excellence within the industry.
  • Facilitate the sharing of these best practices and resources through the Director, Chapter Relationship Leaders.           
  • In conjunction with Brand, develop and retain a National Resource Catalog that encompasses the tools, resources, trainings, etc. available from all departments.
  • Support the development and use of the Galaxy platform and serve as the liaison to technology initiatives that impact the design and utilization of salesforce.
  • Forge and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Directors and national office staff to facilitate a seamless enterprise wide experience.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, or related field preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Creativity in helping develop new programs and methods
  • Discretion with confidential information     
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented team environment         
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills as well as resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • 3+ years experience in non-profit organization/environment preferred
  • Prior experience in chapter leadership or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, including demonstrated expertise in Word and Excel
