Make-A-Wish® – the organization that grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses – is looking to add an innovative, eager, hard-working and high-performing Public Relations Manager to the talented National Communications Team at the National Office in Phoenix, Arizona. The new addition to the team will take on an integral and influential role in driving the external communications efforts for one of the nation’s most respected and revered non-profit brands. Specifically, the Public Relations Manager will carry out public relations strategy in the form of pitching stories of national significance, building relationships with targeted media, serving as the on-site representative for media opportunities, sourcing stories for national media inquiries and drafting press materials. As a member of the National Communications Team, the manager should be someone who can remain confident and composed while serving as a public ambassador for Make-A-Wish and liaising with national media, celebrities and high-profile influencers. Equally as important, the manager should be ready and able to provide counsel and expertise to other National Office departments seeking public relations support as well as to the 60 chapters located throughout the United States.
