Position Summary: As a technical project coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to work with the Senior Project Manager and Relationship Managers to plan and implement the Centralized Technology Services (CTS) platform to 42 Make-A-Wish Chapters across the United States over the next 12-18 months. 

CTS is a key strategic initiative that centralizes back-end IT operations, applications, security monitoring, back-up systems and help desk services across the entire Make-A-Wish organization.

The role requires a blend of project management, technical understanding, organization skills, and good communication to ensure that the Program’s deployment goals are met within the established timelines. This role involves partnering with various internal teams and third-party vendor partners to provide the customer with an excellent onboarding experience.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Project management skills and the ability to resolve complex problems and issues
  • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
  • Knowledge of IT concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Microsoft Project or Smartsheet experience
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including writing skills
  • Experience working in a team/matrix environment 
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and competing demands 
  • Ability to utilize tact, persuasion, judgment and/or negotiation to accomplish objectives. 

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Work in an office environment.
  • Some travel required.
  • May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.

  • Performs related work as assigned/requested by project manager
  • Plan and facilitate project meetings, activities/tasks and information
  • Assist in information gathering
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining project documentation (i.e. agendas, minutes, project plans) and reports
  • Acts as a liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives
  • Monitor and track project’s progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Reports and escalates issues or risks to project manager as needed
  • Ensures clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
