This position  reviews, audits, analyzes and reconciles all financial information and documents supporting grant-funded expenditures in the general ledger for compliance with applicable federal, state and county regulations, statutes and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Prepares grant invoicing for services rendered on a monthly basis.
  • Analyzes various grantor specialized monthly revenue and expenditure reports and makes appropriate recommendations to ensure compliance with budgeted projections and grant provisions
  • Provides all required support and documentation related to grant revenue and expenditures as requested by external and grantor auditors for the annual financial audit, A-133 audit and grantor monitoring.
  • Reviews contracts and agreements for compliance with grant provisions and applicable ordinances to support requests for reimbursement
  • Communicates regularly with Program staff and Development staff to share information to ensure timely, accurate billing of all budgeted funds.
  • Communicates with different municipalities/funders on a regular basis to ensure submission of invoices are timely and in compliance to audit requirements.
  • Provides support to Financial Development staff during Grant writing/Budget proposal process.
  • Prepares monthly Journal Entries for Grant allocations as needed.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • One to two years’ experience in accounting or related field.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to build successful relationships with a wide variety of people at all levels.
  • Proficient in the use of computers using MS office and database applications.
  • Experience adapting to changing technologies.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $41,627.00 - $52,034.00
