One of the top strategic initiatives for the organization is to implement a Wish and Volunteer Center utilizing Salesforce. We are looking for an experienced Salesforce professional to lead the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support for this new solution.

As the Sr. Manager of Salesforce you will be responsible for the development and administration of the organization’s Salesforce environment.  In addition to technology expertise, combining the competency of conceptual thinking and of translation into client friendly systems with a hands-on mentality will be essential. Knowledge of Salesforce technology is paramount, as well as the ability to listen and to build relationships with a diverse set of business partners and team members.

This position is responsible for complex configurations of the Salesforce platform using various solutions, managing ongoing projects and closely adhering to deadlines.  The role will also take responsibility for creating design specifications, testing, and preparing technical documentation.  You will maintain relationships with customers and cross functional teams at the most professional and effective levels to ensure that the application functionality meets the end user needs. The position requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments to support the National Office and 62 chapters across the United States.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Development, design, and administration of organization’s Salesforce environment.
  • Support the project life cycle – strategy, design, creation, testing and deployment of the Salesforce platform for the organization.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, and communicate with team and business resources across the organization.
  • Lead discovery workshops, which include the facilitation of large audiences, solution presentations, and prototype demonstrations.
  • Support and assist with implementation of integration with other applications
  • Build and demonstrate prototypes in Salesforce.
  • Present to C Suite level audiences as well as technical teams.
  • Build out of a support organization to ensure ongoing support and enhancement of Salesforce environment.
  • Participate in product road mapping

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Completed multiple full-lifecycle, enterprise Salesforce implementations having played a key role in project ownership and people leadership.
  • Business Analysis or Systems Consulting for a mid-to-large sized organizations and/or Consulting with strong analytical and product management skills with a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translating those into technology and operational requirements
  • Progressive experience in technology implementation in an enterprise environment
  • Experience implementing or administering Salesforce environments including identifying business requirements, collection of use cases/user stories, process design (work flow mapping, etc.), testing, training and implementation support.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Interpersonal communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible directly-related experience.
  • Minimum of five years demonstrated experience as a Salesforce.com Engineer/Administrator, with technical implementation and day to day operations.
  • Salesforce Admin Certification (Advanced preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • Work in an office environment.
  • Some travel required.
  • May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.
