This individual will be responsible for continuing to expand the growth of our annual giving revenue; developing and implementing Annual Giving and Tax Credit strategy and plan; and will assist in coaching and training of campaign staff and volunteers for campaign success. Additionally, this individual will lead the annual giving donor stewardship, donor recognition, and oversight of special events.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Implements and manages an annual campaign strategy for the Y in collaboration with executive and volunteer leadership.
  • Recruits volunteer leadership for annual campaign and develops an effective, comprehensive annual campaign program. Works closely with executive leadership.
  • Collaborates with branch leadership to develop communication and campaign strategies to successfully market annual giving campaigns. Supports plans for identifying, cultivating and soliciting branch annual fund prospects.
  • Works with branch executive directors to identify, recruit, and train branch volunteers in annual giving gift solicitation.
  • In partnership with Development Services Director, coordinates annual gift data and conducts regular analysis and reporting of annual campaign progress.
  • Implements systems for timely and appropriate acknowledgements of annual campaign gifts.
  • Oversees Annual Giving donor stewardship and recognition program.
  • Will assist Development Director with stewardship activities for the grants development program.
  • Staffs and manages annual giving and donor special events, projects and committees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
BS/BA or equivalent, with four or more years fund-raising experience in annual giving campaigns and special events.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Proven experience in cultivating and soliciting leadership level gifts to annual fund.
  • Familiarity with the principles of annual campaign organization and marketing.
  • Experience in working closely with volunteers and in staffing volunteer committees/events.
  • Excellent writing, organizational and communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, volunteers, senior leaders, and the general public.
  • Understanding of and enthusiasm for the mission of the YMCA.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00
