Project Coordinator – Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC)

The position is responsible for facilitating the implementation and monitoring the project activities according to the approved project design and aligned with CP Technical approach quality standards; working closely with other staff, partners and other stakeholders in the community to achieve the project goal to address the root causes of trafficking and other forms of violence against children.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Facilitate the implementation of the project activities according to approved design and annual plan and budget, in close collaboration with other staff and thematic projects, partners and communities.
  • Work with Transformer Development Facilitator (TDF) to establish, strengthen and build capacity of community child protection groups – both formal (eg CCWC and other local authorities) and informal (eg Child Protection Committees) to plan and address root causes of indentified issue son VAC in communities
  • Assist Monitoring and Learning Officer and Project Manager to enhance partners communities’ capacity to implement project activities.
  • Facilitate the engagement of community including children and youth in local level advocacy and dialogue with local authorities to agree on locally-led solutions to VAC.
  • Document project learning and recommendations from monitoring and reflection with communities, partners and other stakeholder
  • Disseminate project key lessons learned and recommendations to partners, communities and other stakeholders to ensure ongoing learning on good practices
Educational Background: 
Bachelor Degree of degree in project management, law, psychology or social sciences
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 3 years experiences in child protection and/or trafficking, community mobilization, local level advocacy
  • Experience in project and program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing.
  • Experiences in coordination and provide training social work or community work to communities.
  • Knowledge in community mobilization techniques.
  • Competent in verbal and written English communication.
