The purpose of the Programme Manager is to assist the Global Marketing & Communications (GMC) Project Office Director in providing overall leadership and management of programs and projects and their assigned portfolio to successfully deliver Global Marketing and Communications objectives in accordance with World Vision strategy. The role is responsible for ensuring effective planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting with a “customer focused” view to ensure a targeted approach to providing organisational benefit and optimized value for stakeholders.
The Programme Manager will provide leadership and support of program and project deliverables, from initiation through close out, to support projects through the innovation lifecycle, from ideation through to successful launch and global scale out. This will include but not limited to project briefs, charters, business cases, plans, progress and performance reporting, dependency, risk and issue management and escalation, budgeting and financial management, communications planning, procurement planning, all project monitoring processes and project close out.
The successful candidate will possess: a passion for project and programme management with people capability development; a proven track record of successful project planning and execution across a variety of industries and contexts; proficiency in data and business analytics reporting; strong financial management skills and experience; experience in business case development; a bias towards a lean and agile mind-set with a lens of proactive continuous improvement.

- Must have service orientation with ability to lead teams, to organize, prioritize and manage multiple task streams according to agreed schedule.
- Proficient in a range of project management platforms and tools (i.e. Office365, Smartsheet, MS Teams, Monday.com, Slack, Zoho projects or other collaborative software).
- Excellent communication skills and proficient in general computer skills.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Must be highly self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced working environment.
- 5 years of experience as lead project or programme manager on mid-sized or large complex projects or programs.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Proven ability to negotiate consensus among diverse groups and influence and impact the activities of others not in your own reporting structure.
- PMP or PgMP certification in good standing (or other PM certification from a nationally or globally recognized entity).
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Familiar with Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodology is preferred.
- Experience leading with a variety of Project Management methodologies including waterfall and agile / scrum is preferred.
- Experience in benefits realization management is preferred.
- Understanding of NGO culture and ethos of accountability, transparency and stewardship is an asset.
- Experience working in a virtual working environment and across multiple functional and geographical entities.
Work Environment/Travel:
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
