The Alzheimer's Association, Central and North Florida Chapter, is seeking a dynamic, effective, customer-focused Vice President of Development.

S/he will provide management level leadership for the development staff; oversight, execution and monitoring of a diversified comprehensive chapter development plan that is aligned with the Chapter's strategic plan.  

This position can be based in Orlando or Jacksonville and will report to the CEO.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Budget, plan and execute comprehensive fundraising campaigns, annual and long-term development plans
  • Identify, cultivate and solicit major donors ($10,000+) in conjunction with CEO and national Major Gifts officer
  • Identify, cultivate and solicit intermediate gift donors at $1000-$10,000 level 
  • Provide management level leadership for development and execution of the chapter's fundraising programs including mass market events, relationship events, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving, third party events and other fundraising initiatives
  • Recruit, train, supervise and coach chapter development staff and volunteers, including liaison with board on development initiatives. 
  • Lead the development team as well as serve on the Chapter's senior management team
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree required; CFRE preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5-7 years leadership experience in fundraising; with familiarity with mass market events, successful track record in major gift cultivation and solicitation 
  • Supervisory experience with professional staff and volunteers 
  • Extensive experience in budget development and management 
  • Excellent writing, public speaking and interpersonal skills 
  • Some travel, evenings and weekends required
  • Valid driver's license, proof of vehicle insurance, and access to reliable personal vehicle.
