Working closely with the WASH Senior manager and in collaboration with the WASH facilitators, the Software Coordinator (SC) will ensure the strategic and successful implementation of WV Mauritania WASH software interventions including Combined sanitation approaches: PHAST, CLTS, Sanitation marketing, microfinance in sanitation approaches. Design For behavior Change and community capacity building for sustainability, replication and software planning leadership in all World Vision area development programs in Mauritania.
The SC is fully responsible for the data collection and entry in the GIS system as related to software component as well as the management of the budget allocated to the software section of WASH Programme. .
- Facilitate the work of the WASH facilitators to achieve the project objectives in their respective areas of responsibility.
- Work closely with the ADP managers to ensure that objectives under software are well planned and implemented according to the project plan of action, annual targets, standards and guidelines.
- Ensure strategic and successful implementation of the project software component in communities and schools or any designated location by the office.
- Ensure qualitative data collection and entry to Horizon GIS system as relevant to the software
- Ensure strategic implementation of the CLTS and its related combines approaches (PHAST, Sanitation marketing), DBC in all the communities located in WV ADPs
- Ensure that implementation of the software activities is in line with the hardware activities.
- Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, action plan, and conduct need assessment where necessary.
- Ensure that good, respectful and fruitful relationship is developed and maintained with all project stakeholders including communities, government and national and international NGOs or associations.
- Develop tools and ensure their use off for project monitoring/evaluation, data collection and updates in and from the field.
- Represent the project manager on his request to meetings and other events related to the project.
- Submit monthly and quarterly report and update to the WASH senior manager.
- Fulfil any other task in line with the mission and vision of WV upon request from the WASH manager, Programs Director or RAM Director.
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
- Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience in the field WASH project implementation
- Experience in CSTL approach
- Preferred: Hygienist/ nurse/health agent, sanitation
- Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Good computer knowledge and practices

- Good planning and organizational skill
- Capacity of reflection and fast comprehension
- Working knowledge in proposal writing, concept paper, need assessment and monitoring and evaluation.
