To support the World Vision Mauritania office by providing technical assistance in the design, planning, budgeting and reporting of projects as well as accountability to financial partners and communities.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Pre positioning at the level of donors and partners

  • Collaborate in identifying strategic partners for mobilization and improvement of resources
  • Attend cluster meetings and key partners
  • Contribute to advanced intelligence gathering and donor mapping
  • Support the RAM Manager with the development of key relationships and partnerships with other International NGOs, National NGOs and donors
  • Support in the production of program updates as needed by World Vision Support Offices, the Regional Office, donors and partners

Resource Mobilization

  • Support RAM Manager by working with field staff to develop brief notes and prepare proposals (including logical frameworks, budgets, budget narratives, and monitoring and evaluation plans) for government, private and multilateral funders main

Operational and Financial Management

  • Support the World Vision Operations team to ensure that grants are well managed in alignment with the standards, expectations and procedures of WVI and financial partners

Capacity Building in Acquisition and Resource Management

  • Support the capacity building of the staff of WV Mauritania in the management of non-sponsorship grants and private financing projects including:
  • Project design
  • Conformity
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Cross-cutting themes (gender, child protection, environment, disability, accountability)
  • Effective project management

Communication and Reporting

  • Assist in the liaison role between WV Mauritania, WV West Africa and WV Support Offices to ensure clear communication and submissions for potential grant opportunities

Educational Background: 
Masters 1 in International Development, Humanitarian Affairs, Social Sciences, or other related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Good knowledge of design practices, program monitoring and evaluation
  • Interest in ope rations aid to the ' humanitarian emergency including minimum standards for humanitarian response
  • Good writing, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Good command of French written and oral
  • Good Maî Trise of English ed written and spoken is an asset

Work Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment  : based at the National Office with frequent trips to the field
  • Travel  : 20% domestic and international travel is required
