The Director of Individual Giving reports to the Vice President for Philanthropy and Chief Development Officer. This position partners with key Association and Branch leaders to effectively manage the annual giving and major gifts programs for the Hockomock Area YMCA, a 30,000+ member Y serving 15 area communities. As part of the development leadership team this position will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts from individuals in the major gifts and annual campaign  to support the Association's strategic goals and initiatives.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Oversee all facets of our year round Annual Campaign including the development of case and materials, weekly campaign update reports, recruitment of volunteers, solicitation, donor recognition, relationship development and fiscal reporting.
  • Work in concert with management team to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors for Major Gifts in support of Association goals.
  • Provide coaching, support and training to branch management in their fundraising efforts.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 4 to 7 years experience in financial development, with a desired focus on individual giving
  • The ability to build strong relationships to support our philanthropic goals. 
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field would be preferred
  • Strong communication skills including outstanding verbal and written communication skills is a necessity in this position
  • Effective public speaking and strong organization and planning skills are essential to success in this position
Compensation/Benefits: 

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00
