The purpose of this role is to support the Advocacy and Campaign Integration Manager in successful delivery of the campaign in Field Offices participating in the It Takes a World campaign. This will involve providing strategic input, support and direction to ensure campaign integration within all sectors and functional areas at the national level; developing contextualized tools, resources & campaign models, coordinating global action; supporting development of national change agendas; supporting quality implementation, providing support for policy development and research; contributing to the delivery of the accountability objective through coordinating and supporting national offices in leveraging local level advocacy initiatives on ending VAC, coordinating activities to ignite a movement for change amongst supporters, governments, multi-laterals, civil society and the communities in which we work around the world.
Support the integration of campaigning and advocacy into our ministerial work in order to deliver long-term organizational objectives.
- Support systems building for campaign integration at the national level, particularly with Technical Sectors and Global Field Operations.
- In coordination with TSO and Global CP&P support the offices in development of campaign baselines and related indicators.
- Support RO/FO campaign strategy and campaign plan development with the appropriate External Engagement, Communication and Policy Change plans.
- The Regional Advocacy Advisors are supported in providing support to the Regional Leaders, senior leaders and NDs in their functions related to external engagements on violence against children including partnership building, networking and communication on key advocacy issues.
- Working with the Senior Campaign Advisor – Quality and Innovation, use the Quality Assurance framework to monitor the campaigns quality and provide the national and regional leadership with recommendations for results optimization.
- Working with the Senior Campaign Advisor – Quality and innovation, support the development of contextualized tools and resources to support campaign delivery, including action circulars, technical guidance or standards.
- Support the Advocacy and Campaign Integration Manager on the delivery of global moments.
Strengthen national to global planning & linkages and amplify our advocacy efforts in order to achieve broader impact.
- Working with the Senior Campaign Advisor – Quality and Innovation, identify local, national and regional practices and experiences with potential for amplification and lead on their cross-fertilization with other teams and offices.
- Support ROs and FOs in development of regional and national change agendas, external engagement or public engagement plans for the National or Regional Offices.
- Input into regional and global planning, especially around global change agenda/calendar.
- Ensuring local and national level data is utilized for external influence at the national and regional levels.
- In collaboration with Communications and Public Engagement contribute to the development and implementation of national public mobilisation strategies, targeting communities, supporters, media, public, civil society, youth and church constituencies.
- Coordinate and support selected national offices in leveraging local level advocacy initiatives on ending VAC and establishing linkages with the global advocacy & policy work.
Ensure that FOs and ROs implementing the campaign have a strong change agenda built on solid policy analysis and research, including policy products.
- Working with the policy team maintain active, two ways dialogue between national/regional and global advocacy teams on prioritized advocacy and policy moments in order to scale up the national asks and ensure accountability.
- Monitor regional advocacy and policy calendars for global engagement opportunities.
- In collaboration with the policy team, ensure the implementation of the campaign with strong policy agenda and support FOs to develop tailored national policy briefs for external engagement moments.
- Ensure that prioritized field offices have high quality policy briefs for the relevant events during the campaign implementation.
- At least five (5) years of successful relevant professional experience including development and implementation of advocacy or campaign strategies and/or policy analysis and development.
- The appointee will have experience working on policy issues in relation to the following:, child protection and/or ending violence against children.
- Experience in coordinating and supporting advocacy engagement in low and middle-income countries, including in coalitions.
- Strong project & stakeholder management experience.
- Experience of working in a complex, international and cross-cultural environment.
- Ability / experience influencing people to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Recent HEAT training certification.
- English and/or French (preferably).

- The incumbent is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, under the strategic direction of the Advocacy and Campaign Integration Manager.

Campaigning Experience:
- Experience in developing and delivering campaign strategies.
- Field experience, along with practical knowledge of DM&E.
- Experience mobilising supporters and influencing key decision makers on development issues.
- Campaigning in Fragile Contexts.
Advocacy and Policy Work:
- The appointee will be well-articulated both verbally and in writing.
- The appointee will have experience in policy analysis and the development of position papers.
- The appointee will have the ability to work with and guide consultants/local staff in research and policy analysis.
- The appointee will have ability to adapt resources and guidance to communicate effectively with FO staff.
Team Work:
- Ability to maintain good relations and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain awareness of the activities of other members of the team to enable mutual support during times of high pressure especially in a remote working environment.
