350.org is looking for a Supporter Services and Engagement Coordinator to help the 350 Digital team to cultivate and build on the relationships between 350.org and its online supporters.
Many people contact 350.org every single day, by email and social media. They want to join the climate movement and take action. In this role, you will help all those supporters find out how they can be most impactful. You will efficiently connect potential organizers and activists with the information, training, or action opportunities that they are looking for.
You will enable 350.org to better listen and respond to the needs of our community of supporters around the world. As a voice for 350’s supporters, you will support staff to prioritize their work in ways that best serve and guide the growing climate justice movement.
The primary areas of work will be 1) responding to & redirecting user enquiries arriving by email and social media, and 2) assisting with new initiatives to support Fossil Free local group engagement.
- At least 1 year of active participation in climate or social justice movements.
- Good writing in English
- Proficient using email & social media
- Willingness to work flexibly in a global team and across cultural/language barriers.
Desired (but not required) skills and experiences
- Having fluency not only in English, but also French, Spanish or another major language.
- “On-the-ground” experience, or training in: community organising, campaign strategy, volunteer mobilisation or coaching
- Significant experience working in, or with partners from, the Global South
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with supporters
- Experience working in a virtual office environment
- Pre-existing experience with ActionKit or Action Network
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.
Competitive compensation based on experience. Some salary ranges include:
- South Africa: 300,400ZAR - 375,500ZAR
- United Kingdom: 28,200GBP - 35,300GBP
- United States: 47,400USD - 60,000USD
