Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is seeking a driven and impactful Program Manager who will be part of the Information Security team, which protects Planned Parenthood. The Program Manager will coordinate Information Security programs and manages security projects to implement, maintain, and enhance information systems, security programs, policies, procedures and tools to safeguard the security, confidentiality, integrity privacy and availability of systems, networks, and data. This position requires strong organization, project management, communication, and analysis skills. The Program Manager will report to the Chief Information Security Officer or their designee. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage complex security programs and strategic security initiatives.
  • Drive critical highly-integrated security programs to address current and potential security threats and risks while delivering key security requirements, and adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Manages the initiation, planning, execution and maintenance of security programs by applying project management, resource management, budget management, vendor management, risk analysis and ongoing security audits, testing, and continuous monitoring and improvement as appropriate.
  • Assist in the analysis of security program portfolio for alignment with organizational vision, strategy and associated current and projected security risks and threats.
  • Help create, develop and process improvements for security related programs by enhancing and expanding the use of standard project management frameworks and methodologies, analysis of key metrics, and provide security recommendations with a focus on developing repeatable, scalable, efficient and effective processes.
  • Ensure all entities are aware of their responsibilities and expected outcome of security programs and projects.
  • Captures and regularly reports progress and status to leadership.
  • Stay knowledgeable about current security technologies, news and events and how they impact the security policies, procedures and portfolio.
  • Travel as needed. 
REQUIREMENTS / TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge.
  • 5+ years of experience as a program manager in security, technology or other relevant vertical.
  • Program Management Certification (PgMP) or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) desired, but not required with relevant security or technology work experience.
  • Knowledge of program and project management methodologies, practices and tools.
  • Experience leading diverse, distributed technical and operational teams with strong meeting management, relationship building and negotiating skills; able to gain trust of diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and manage detailed project strategy and plans by coordinating with technical teams and multiple stakeholders to deliver projects.
  • Familiarity with Information Security technologies and concepts to include but not limited to strong authentication, network security, endpoint security, vulnerability management, information assurance, security operations, mobile security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to translate technical information into easily understandable information for non-technical audiences.
  • Must be able to complete a favorable background check.
