The Resources Acquisition and Management Manager position will significantly contribute to the implementation of the new Global Grants Acquisitions and Management Strategy. The successful candidate will contribute to information management and collection related to new and existing opportunities, grant writing and revising and reviewing documents. Working under the supervision of the Integrated Programs Director and technical leadership of the WARO RAM Director, this individual will have the opportunity to support and lead a multitude of activities and projects throughout their tenure with World Vision Chad. The individual must possess the ability to manage time and work in an environment with multiple expectations, and to function as team member and contributing leader.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Lead in consultation and close coordination with the Integrated Program Director and Regional RAM Director the continuous identification of funding opportunities and donor landscaping and building networks across potential partners
  • Support proposal development and project design:
    • Proposal writing
    • Review of documents
    • Packaging
  • Understanding that the ability to mobilize resources is intrinsically linked to the effective management of existing grants and awards, the successful candidate will support grant oversight.
  • Financial (Burn Rate Analysis and Financial Compliance- Audit Support)
  • Programmatic Compliance (successful delivery of project outcomes and deliverables)
  • Support Narrative and Evaluation report writing, revision and submission
  • Support the coordination of capacity building for Resources Acquisition and Management:
    • Including project design
    • Compliance
    • M&E
    • Gender
    • Project management etc.
  • Support special resource mobilization initiatives:
    • Livelihoods and resilience
    • Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Business Plan
    • Advocacy and education
    • Christian Commitment
    • Special training and innovation initiatives
Educational Background: 
BA/BSC Degree in any development field: social sciences, development studies, management, education, agriculture or public health.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Proposal and reporting writing experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Bilateral, multilateral and foundation donors high preferred.
  • Strong analytical training and data analysis capacity, training in Excel and SPSS or Statistics preferred.
  • Strong commitment to WV’s vision, mission and core values.
  • Knowledge of child rights and community development.
  • Must be a creative individual with strong sense of vision, discipline and rigor.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong interpersonal skills in English and French (Fully Bilingual).
  • Strong desire to build coordination, presentation, facilitation, coordination and networking skills.
  • Strong desire to learn, live and work in Chad.

Work Environment/Travel:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field 50%.
  • Travel: 20% Domestic/international travel is required.
  • On call: 30%
