ABOUT GET WITH THE GUIDELINES:
Get with the Guidelines (GWTG) is an example of one of our world-class programs. GWTG is the premier hospital-based quality improvement program for the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association. It empowers healthcare provider teams to consistently treat heart and stroke patients according to the most up-to-date guidelines. A person dies every 35 seconds from heart disease and stroke. They’re the nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers and claim more lives than the next four causes of death combined. GWTG is estimated to be able to save more than 80,000 people annually if 75% of the eligible patients discharged are treated at an 85% compliance rate with the AHA/ACC Secondary Prevention guidelines. What makes this opportunity unique? In the Director position, a clinical expert has the opportunity to further impact patient outcomes with this life saving program. Primary responsibilities include identifying and leveraging opportunities and methods for improving clinical performance through sales of the GWTG patient management tools, process improvements, workflow redesign, and care management through the development and cultivation of collaborative relationships with hospital leaders and staff.
