To lead the assessment of new Area Development Program (ADP) in the villages of West Salfeet, Northwest Jerusalem and South Tubas and lead the design in the selected cluster areas according to World Vision standards and procedures and contribute to the Ministry of WVJWG.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead and manage a team of volunteers and short term staff to collect macro and micro information from secondary and primary sources of information.
- Plan for and conduct all of the activities of the assessment and design of the new Zone.
- Build and maintain community trust in WV in the targeted Zonal villages.
- Collect sectoral information in the targeted communities.
- Conduct public awareness activities to ensure proper community understanding of WV approach and sponsorship philosophy.
- Conduct PRA meetings and workshops with different community stakeholders to assess the needs of the different villages.
- Ensure that all stakeholders in the community participate in all discussions related to the Zone.
- Review different reports, studies, and surveys related to the communities under study.
- Analyze collected data about the different targeted villages.
- Prepare all kinds of reports related to assessment and design according to WV standards and procedures.
- Submit the assessment report, design proposals, and design documents of the new Zones in the targeted villages on timely manner.
- Control all expenses incurred during the assessment and design of the new Zone.
- Build good relationships with local communities, CBOs and National NGOs working in the targeted area.
- Ensure proper liaison with the Head Office in Jerusalem.
- Create a professional office atmosphere by keeping a high standard of efficiency in handling tasks and dealing with people.
Educational Background:
Bachelor degree in development, management or relevant subject. Masters degree is an asset.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in development work, needs assessment or related field.
- Excellent English language skills (spoken and written).
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent understanding of the development context in the OPT.
- Good knowledge of the villages Central West Bank.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to communicate information effectively and coach others.
- Commitment to achieving quality results and service.
- Ability to think clearly, deeply, and broadly.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and maintain a positive approach.
- Solid time-management skills, including ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Integrity and a strong commitment to the mission, ethos, and core values of World Vision.
- Position is located in Nablus.
- This position is based on a fixed term contract until 30 September 2019.
