Promotes, leads and grows vibrant knowledge management practices to reinforce World Vision’s global strategy, Our Promise 2030. Establishes knowledge management systems and processes to ensure cross Partnership learning, development, improvement, and world-class implementation of Our Promise 2030 (OP2030).

This role:

  • gathers best practice materials and case studies related to OP2030 Strategic Initiatives.
  • identifies learning opportunities.
  • establishes knowledge sharing and documentation standards, routines and platforms.
  • convenes workstream leaders and initiative leaders.
Areas of Responsibility: 

Set Strategic Priorities:

  • Create, implement, and nurture a Knowledge Management (KM) plan for the Strategy Realisation Office (SRO).
  • Develop, nurture, and grow selected communities of practice connected to several initiatives especially Strategic Initiative 1.1, considering the interests of Initiative Leader requirements.
  • Ensures all KM activities led by the Strategy Realisation Office remain dedicated to Our Promise 2030 objectives, and priorities.

Promote WV Way:

  • Develop the SRO’s information management system.
  • work with Initiative Leaders to share CWB impact and best practice within each workstream, establishing research priorities, identifying capacity gaps,
  • Coordinate with WVI communications for internal and external narrative of initiative effectiveness and learning.
  • Develop and manage sector Information Newsletters, partnership articles and publications.
  • Develop and manage all web-based information tools including manage newsletter mailing lists.

Ensure Accountability:

  • Develop a culture of collaboration and sharing among the stakeholders.

Collaboration:

  • Link to other relevant Communities of Practice for joint learning and collaboration.
  • Promote sharing of knowledge within the SRO and across entities and geographies relevant to the Partnership strategy.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Carry out additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, including administrative and planning functions.
  • Attend and participate in WV chapel services and devotional meetings, and face-to-face meetings of the SRO.
Educational Background: 
Bachelors Degree in sector or other related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Knowledge Management training, certification preferred.
  • Excellent document editing, formatting and publication skills.
  • Contemporary and progressive ICT skills in knowledge management platforms.
  • Webinar development and facilitation.
  • Experience in formation and nurturing of virtual communities of practices, networks, etc.
  • Facilitation skills.
  • Website and publication design.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Sharepoint, and web-design (HTML).

Work Environment/Travel:

  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
