The Annual Giving Manager advances the philanthropy of the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities by implementing the Annual Fund portion of the Mission Advancement Development Plan. The incumbent will insist on high quality service and consistency with the team’s commitments, strategies, and goals. The incumbent will help ensure Annual Giving best practices and strategies across our Association.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Annual Giving to determine type, quantity and quality of cultivation and solicitation resources required each year.
  • Support development of production timelines and delivery of materials.
  • Liaise with Marketing, Communication, & Digital teams, outside vendors, Mission Advancement team, and Operations to achieve deadlines and insure high quality and error-free collateral materials.
  • Assist with annual giving appeal strategy and implementation of the overall plan and timeline.
  • Present designed training to Y team members and volunteers regarding Annual Giving best practices.
  • Leads the execution of digital projects and initiatives for Annual Giving efforts.
  • In collaboration with Director of Annual Giving, periodically review gift processing Standard Operating Procedures to incorporate efficiencies or changes.
  • Monitor timeliness and quality of Annual Giving stewardship activities that are executed by Director of Annual Giving and Donor Management colleagues.
  • Support Director of Annual Giving to resolve issues that arise during production and dissemination of cultivation and solicitation materials, suggest and implement modifications to project scope, deliverables, timelines and resources.
  • Track compliance, annual giving, and stewardship project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Manage relationship with one branch or program location to further our prospect identification and utilization to grow philanthropic efforts.
  • Provide evaluations and assessment of results for all projects in portfolio.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience using tools with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to be both strategic and work hands on.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.
  • Experience working on a philanthropic development or advancement team.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge.
  • Experience with completing and/or supporting internal and external audits.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $49,700.00 - $58,500.00
