Leads execution against a region-based strategy for corporate partnerships and account management, including the pursuit of new opportunities, managing and cultivating relationships, region implementation of corporate initiatives and driving account engagement to achieve ACS mission priorities and significant income targets for a large geography. Manages a team of corporate account relations staff. Serves as the primary lead for a CEOs Against Cancer (CAC) chapter where applicable, which includes accountability for chapter performance, increasing market penetration and engagement of priority CEOs and their corporations. Ensures engagement and mobilization of diverse constituents, staff and volunteers in a prioritized and coordinated way to meet established goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Leads execution of a region strategy for corporate engagement for a sizeable geography, focused on renewing/enhancing previous engagement and developing new relationships with target corporations to achieve revenue and mission targets.
  • Serves as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of priority corporations, corporate foundations, CEOs, C-Suite executives and other high impact individuals with responsibility for prospect research, recruitment, cultivation, and retention.
  • Aligns corporations and CEO affinities and needs with ACS priorities and events to achieve individual income goals, support enterprise goals, and to further our impact to mission programs and services, with a focus on securing six and seven-figure revenue partnerships.
  • Drives comprehensive corporate alliances through employee & executive engagement, corporate foundation gifts, nationwide consumer engagement opportunities and/or global mission funding opportunities
  • Provides leadership for a CEOs Against Cancer® (CAC) chapter, achieving high recruiting levels and member retention rates, and delivering against the CAC strategy by meeting/exceeding recruiting and revenue goals (only when this role is required to lead a CAC Chapter within a Region).
  • Manages, coaches, develops, and trains a team of corporate account relations staff each responsible for a substantial account and revenue portfolios; ensures that responsibilities and accountabilities of all direct reports are well-defined.
  • Identifies opportunity and facilitates the development of high impact alliances and partnerships for the Society and among our corporate and distinguished partners.
  • Leverages volunteers as door openers and relationship builders.
  • Oversees the delivery of high level constituent experience and recognition programs in order to cultivate new expanded opportunities, such as Laureate Society and major gifts; Collaborates with Major Gifts staff on the cultivation of existing donor relationships and assists them with executing initiatives, delivering on strategy, and achieving goals.
  • Partners with region account operations and enterprise support functions to ensure successful corporate program execution, including tracking, planning, implementation and continuous performance feedback.
  • Builds strong relationships and directly collaborates with staff within the Distinguished Partners team to leverage external affiliations and accomplish shared goals.
  • Supports the VP, Regional Distinguished Partners to ensure mission, top line, and bottom line goals are reached as well as compliance with enterprise policies.
  • Assists with region execution strategy for Distinguished Partners, prioritizes target accounts, establishes ownership, and assesses the competitive environment for corporate partnerships in assigned market(s).
  • Collaborates with the Community Development, Cancer Control, Business Planning & Operations, Communications/Marketing and ACS CAN staff to ensure coordinated and interdependent achievement of region goals; leverages corporate engagement to achieve income and mission goals
  • Partners with the GHQ Corporate Alliances department to provide support with Fortune 500 account management and region level execution as part of a coordinated corporate engagement effort.
  • Supports ACS CAN strategies by leveraging corporate relationships, including efforts to increase ACS CAN membership.
  • Monitors and fosters behavior that establishes a culture that values the staff/volunteer partnership, and is consistent with the values, goals and objectives of the Society to create an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, empowerment, and dedication to the mission
  • Ensures regional staff and volunteers reflect the diversity of the communities served by the region and creates and reinforces an environment of inclusion.
Educational Background: 
BS/BA or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • preferred 5 to 7 years successful experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, and executive relationship development with distinguished partners, preferably with a multi-million dollar organization and 3 to 5 years of staff management experience.
