Fragile State Country Portfolio Manager

£30,763 Salary per annum + good range of benefits

Fulltime, permanent contract

Help World Vision UK address the risks faced by the most vulnerable children in fragile states to survive, adapt and survive.

This role helps to anticipate the risks that most vulnerable children face in fragile states face, and enables World Vision UK to provide holistic support to World Vision National to address those risks, including acquiring and managing institutional grants.

An excellent understanding of the humanitarian and development sector and experience of programme management in fragile states is required so that you can work with World Vision National Offices to implement high quality responses. Significant experience of key humanitarian or development donors is essential, together with proven ability to acquire and manage grants effectively. You will need to have good coordination skills to collaborate with colleagues in the UK office and overseas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring emerging and potential risks is designated fragile states, anticipating the risks that children may face and providing information to World Vision UK to respond effectively;

The role requires international travel for up to 25% of the year.

Knowledge of French is desirable.
