Child Crisis Arizona provides emergency shelter, foster care, adoption, counseling, early education, home visitation, and parenting support services to Arizona’s most vulnerable children and families. Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensures compliance with all Agency HR policies and practices; follows federal, state and local regulations dealing with employment law.
  • Ensures Agency policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout area of responsibility.
  • Functions as liaison between management and employees on employment related issues or concerns.
  • Ensures the assigned customer groups are adequately staffed by working with Talent Acquisition Specialist and Management on department staffing needs.
  • May assist hiring managers in the recruitment and interviewing of potential staff
  • Tracks and updates information to ensure compliance with licensure and contractual requirements for assigned customer groups.
  • Assists Finance to ensure payroll data in HRIS system is current and accurate to ensure payroll is processed timely.
  • Collaborates with HR Coordinator on new hire pre-employment data collection and on-boarding; May assist in the New Hire Orientation process.
  • Conducts periodic discussions with new staff members for the purpose of employee retention; relays pertinent trends to VP, Human Resources.
  • Partner with Management on identifying potential employee-relations issues and propose recommendation to resolve issue
  • Engage with staff through visible presence in the work areas of customer groups.
  • Assists in the administration of Agency compensation and benefits programs
  • Conducts exit interviews and communicate any trends to VP, Human Resources.
  • Provides guidance to staff on the use of HRIS system. Process actions related to promotions, transfers and other staff related activity.
  • Complete special projects as necessary, continually seeking ways to positively impact the employee experience for assigned customer groups.
  • Models Agency’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; direct HR experience may be substituted for education
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a Human Resource Department
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, communication and listening skills
  • Self-starter with ability to use data to problem solve; results driven
  • High level of integrity and handling of confidential information
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels within the Agency
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Understanding and experience in core aspects of Human Resource Management
  • Comfortable in working alone or within a group
  • Sense of urgency and strong customer service focus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and HRIS system; Paycom preferred
  • Ability to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
