Under general supervision of the Director of Abortion Operations, the Health Center Manager provides leadership and direction within the clinic to support a team-based, customer-focused, results-oriented service model that achieves clinical, operational and financial goals. As a leader in the organization, the Health Center Manager is responsible for achieving key financial and operational objectives which support the mission and strategies of Planned Parenthood Indiana and Kentucky.
- Develops and maintains an environment for clinically sound and safe patient care across Abortion and Family Planning extended scope of service. Complies with all state and federal abortion laws and regulations.
- Responsible for all aspects of employment for health center staff and volunteers. Responsible for staffing center effectively by hiring, coaching and training staff, to provide all clinic services per their job descriptions. Monitors and evaluates staff and volunteers in their daily performance, including discipline. Staff within a surgical health center environment includes Physicians, Advanced Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, as well as Medical Assistants.
- Leads clinic staff in development of a culture that fosters positive attitudes and trust among staff to achieve clinic goals and objectives. Assists all staff in creating and maintaining a team-based clinic plan to meet PPINK’s goals and objectives.
- Works closely with the Risk and Quality Management Committee to ensure compliance with State, laboratory, and organizational measures. Performs regular medical record and process audits to determine compliance with affiliate policies and procedures. Develops and implements corrective action plans as needed. Monitors completion of logs, training, and remediation plans in accordance with these measures. Defines results. Monitors quality and implements changes to maintain high standards.
- Implements and supports a customer-focused service model. Maintains an awareness of customer needs and responds to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Responsible for financial management of the health center. Monitors monthly financial statements and client visits. Manages revenue, expenses and staffing to ensure successful operations and financial stability. Accountable for daily reconciliation and submission of deposits and logs.
- Manages health center budget. Assists Director of Surgical Operations with development of budget.
- Schedules clinic sessions and arranges for staff coverage. Assures clinic provides customer focused service delivery and meets productivity and patient load goals.
- Assures timely and accurate clinic reporting, record keeping, data entry and inventory control.
- Ensures that all security policies and procedures, OSHA and CLIA guidelines are implemented and that staff are trained in their application.
- Performs clinical duties as needed.
- Initiates and maintains relationships within the community in support of PPINK mission and goals.

Required Qualifications
- Requires comprehensive Health care experience with high level of knowledge of healthcare concepts and documented leadership experience, which is typically gained through 5-8 years of progressive experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Current RN license or eligible for licensure in state where health center is located
- Master’s degree in health care field e.g. nursing, healthcare administration, public health
- Experience working with high risk and/or diverse populations
