The Sponsorship Technical Business Analyst provides technical business leadership to the Sponsorship Marketing Business Systems Capability and Support team in the design, development, and implementation of capability, feature enhancements, and support for World Vision sponsorship business systems including, (but not limited to) Horizon, SingleSTEP, RMT, and technical guidance to related systems such as Support Office sponsorship systems (iVision, CRMs), global service platforms (WorkFusion), etc.
The position is responsible to lead the detailed technical formulation and successful implementation of the market-facing business capability roadmap. This will involve articulation and interpretation of marketing user business requirements into technical business requirements, partnering with IT solutions concept design to champion best in class solution-design that is both cost effective and technically future-proof (considering roadmap initiatives and future state), supporting systems development as well as user testing and business implementation to ensure that solutions deliver on core marketing business user needs. The position is also responsible for ongoing technical leadership in global business support as part of partnership integrated support. The position will work with a range of stakeholders including subject matter experts, solutions architects, IT platform leads, field practitioners, organisational partners and vendors.
The position requires a business minded technologist, who can hold in-mind business needs whilst performing technical analysis, and fleshing out detailed technical requirements. This person is creative, and challenges the technical-par, always looking for a different way to solve a technical problem. The ideal Sponsorship Technical Business Analyst candidate is someone who has extensive experience of delivering business value through effective technical analysis, problem solving and delivery of efficient and sustainable solutions.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sponsorship Marketing Business Systems Capability and Support, or his/her designee, the position will work closely with Sponsorship Business Analysts, Snr Business Process Advisor, and IT Platform leads.
This position is an important role in driving a technical business agenda and supporting the technical articulation of needs to IT and delivering best-in-class solutions, affording the organisation the opportunity to pursue a progressive ongoing innovation agenda within the sponsorship experience going forward.
Planning and Requirements:
- Advises and supports roadmap/release planning based on technical input and guidance to ensure level of effort aligns with suggested timelines.
- Conducts data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy and direction.
- Reviews, defines, develops, and documents detailed business requirements (system and process change/development requests, bug fixes, etc), and user story writing, based on ministry and end-user needs.
- Wire-frame and UI design and interpretation.
- Technological analysis on any planned changes, leading the business system impact assessment for every change initiative (input for integration, implications for concurrent changes, system dependencies etc.)
- Work closely with Business Analysts and business users to fully understand the business need and functional requirements.
- Lead the technical definition and articulation of technical business requirements, user story writing, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead the technical solution design discussions and represent the technical needs to IT (BA’s and Solutions Architect).
- Analyse all solutions and challenge proposals to ensure all requirements can be met.
- Analyse and document all technical stakeholder requirements for CRMs.
- Development, Implementation and Testing:
- Supporting the development with SME input and validation of development outputs against criteria.
- Supporting project management of development cycles and managing IT to milestones.
- Manage solutions architects and development teams of IT and external vendors to design solutions to meet business capability requirements.
- Support development of test resources to ensure that business inputs are provided and interests are adequately represented in the test process.
Support & Problem Solving:
- Support and sanitise technical issue analysis and provide expertise and guidance on resolution.
- Drive support team and hold IT Support to account for any recommendations made.
- Support any RCA (root cause analysis) as required.
Capacity Building and Learning:
- Support the production of all technical documentation including solution design, data flow, and related manuals, toolkits and learning aids.
- Define a set of technical documentation that supports business understanding and reference.
Collaboration and Networking:
- Collaborate with different business groups including IT, Platform leads, BA’s, Support team, related project teams, and Support Office BA’s and business owners.
- Participate in internal and external networks as a contributor, learner, and / or collaborator in order to assure strong linkages with interdependent initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in roles related to realizing capabilities across interdependent platforms.
- A preference for 2 years experience and in-depth knowledge in child sponsorship and development. within World Vision preferably from a Support Office is desirable.
- Experience in project management with the ability to lead, organize, prioritize and delegate tasks.
- Requires project management skills and knowledge of industry accepted documentation standards.
- Must have strong interpersonal, negotiation and oral/written communication skills. Ability to provide high-level customer service required.
- Must have strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with an attention to details.
- Experience in working with cross sectors and functions around enterprise wide change processes.
