Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Senior Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership in program implementation and monitoring, house construction and community development under the Hilti Project. This positon will be based in Manila, Philippines.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensures that the appropriate program/operational models and activities (Construction and Community Development) are developed, implemented and monitored
  • Establishes that cross functional program teams (Project Management, Community Development and Construction) are aligned and operating according to agreed plans
  • Manages and reviews, on behalf of the Chief of Party, the project’s program deliverables, budget and timeline by monitoring indicators and the Project Managers' budget(s) and timeline (s)
  • Recommends solutions to the Chief of Party regarding program/operational issues and set-backs
  • Submits regular operational/program reports to the Chief of Party, donors and other Habitat departments/Partners
  • Manages, coaches and mentors Project Managers
  • Ensures the proper selection of families according to HFH criteria and their timely transition to HFH houses and other programs
  • Validates that HFH houses and other structures adhere to Habitat and local government construction guidelines, codes, policies, and procedures
  • nsures the achievement of project targets and scale through the development, implementation, and monitoring of relevant solutions, processes, and policies
  • Overseas the project’s sustainable community concept and ensures that all agreed HFH and partner deliverables and requirements are met
  • Monitors the implementation of good governance and estate management policies and community plans
Educational Background: 
Minimum bachelors in a development course or related field (engineering, architecture, public administration, urban planning, etc.) 
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 8 years of solid work experience in program and/or project management preferably in a large or complex project setting
  • Preferably with experience in a construction/housing/shelter company/organization
  • Demonstrated experience working in and with the non-profit sector and local government units
  • Previous Habitat experience will be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge about construction methods
  • Intermediate user of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the Internet
  • Strong networking and linkaging skills
  • Ability to influence people and coach and mentor direct reports
  • An effective team player and results-oriented
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Filipino
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules (e.g. meeting with stakeholders on the weekend)
  • Willingness to travel in programmatic areas to review, monitor progress and assist direct reports
  • Willingness to uphold the Christian principles of Habitat
